Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla's Environmental and Land Use, Litigation and Permits Practice is highly proficient in a broad variety of land use, development and environmental litigation matters. Our attorneys protect the rights of developers and businesses in litigation with municipal, state and federal agencies, such as planning and zoning boards, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. We have an extensive background in representing clients in controversial projects and aggressively defending developers from objector lawsuits. Our experience includes representing clients in governmental enforcement actions relating to commercial and industrial sites, landfills, power plants and construction sites, and we assist clients with air permits for those sites. In addition, we regularly handle lawsuits between parties contesting liability for the costs of pollution cleanups.
