Community Association Law
The attorneys in the Community Association Law practice area serve clients throughout New Jersey counseling condominium and homeowners associations regarding all facets of community living from transition matters to the ongoing development and daily operation of the community. Our attorneys assist in matters including, but not limited to, drafting and negotiating service contracts, conflict resolution, assessment collection procedures, interpretation of governing documents and representation of the community before all local and state agencies.
Our attorneys work closely with the other community association professionals including community managers, accountants and engineers to create an efficient system for an association to obtain all necessary legal advice and other professional services. We customize our representation of each community and tailor the scope of services and working format of the relationship to meet the specific needs and challenges of each community. When situations arise requiring other specific legal expertise, our Community Association Law attorneys also work in combination with the attorneys in GH&C's other practice areas regarding matters such as environmental claims or regulation, land use zoning applications or challenges and employment law. Our Community Association attorneys remain current on all relevant legal issues and are active participants in the New Jersey Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI-NJ). They possess the specific experience and insight necessary to provide clients with the resourceful and prompt legal guidance required for a community to adapt and thrive in today's challenging environment.
